A very fine gentleman has passed, and it seems like an era ends....
1944 Greenfield High School Yearbook
Forest Products Associates was started in 1946 by my dad, Lee Fiske. He thought about retiring at age 65, and 70, and 75, but was having too much fun to seriously consider it. It wasn't until the combined events of Mom passing in 2009 and meeting and marrying Kay Gilbert in 2010 that Dad fully retired and moved to Dallas, Texas. "No chain saws, no ladders," he promised his new bride.
Dad touched the lives of so many people, either in the course of his career life as a wood technologist, or later as an inspiration to all lovers that "It's never too late!"
Forest Products Associates will be closed on October 15, 16, 17 to celebrate the life of Lee Fiske. If you felt touched by this man, join us on Wednesday October 16 at 10:30 am for the ceremony of spreading his ashes around the Ginko tree. Lunch to follow. RSVP to Sue 413-325-5707 so I can get a head count!
